EYEBROW TRANSPLANT

Eyebrow transplantation is a surgical procedure that involves transferring hair follicles from one area of the body to the eyebrow area. The hair is typically transferred from the back or sides of the scalp to the areas of the eyebrow that are affected by gaps or baldness.

There are two main methods of eyebrow transplantation:

  • Flap surgery (FUT):
In this method, the surgeon removes a strip of skin that contains hair follicles from the back or sides of the scalp. The strip is then divided into smaller grafts, each of which contains a number of follicles. After that, these grafts are implanted in the eyebrow area.
  • Follicular unit extraction (FUE)
In this method, the surgeon removes individual hair follicles from the back or sides of the scalp. These follicles are then implanted in the eyebrow area.

Eyebrow transplantation typically takes 3 to 4 hours. The patient may need to have one or more sessions depending on the size of the baldness or gaps area.
The results of eyebrow transplantation can be seen after 4 months of the operation. The transplanted hair typically lasts for a lifetime.
